Missy BriganceNC

Activity Director, Arbor Terrace, Asheville

SouthWind has been coming to Arbor Terrace Senior Living for several years. From their first performance we knew they were perfect for our community. Our residents love to participate and sing along. SouthWind more than encourages them by bringing in fun accessories to share or having trivia with prizes. This duo has great vocals, musical talent and energy. As an added treat, their young grandson will occasionally join in by playing his guitar & singing. And of course, their precious puppy Peaches adds many smiles amongst everyone. As someone who has hired a variety of entertainers throughout the years, I can highly recommend SouthWind.

Connie McKinney

Programs Manager, Mitchell Senior Center

Gary and Suzie Solomon are such a wonderful addition to the Mitchell Senior Center family. Several years ago Suzie reached out to me to offer free music lessons to our seniors. Through patience and a lot of laughter they brought a group together, removing all barriers, to play and enjoy music together. There have been several times the Solomons have opened their house to our seniors to have a meal together and play. They also picked up some of our seniors that no longer drive and bring them to practice. A very special friendship has developed between student and teacher and through it all they have become the “Sunshine Gang” band. They have performed at several events in our county and also here at the senior center. The sound of music and laughter can be heard weekly down the hall of the center, thanks to our great friends, the Solomons. Thank you so much for all you do!

As the director of the Mitchell Senior Center in Bakersville, I am so very pleased with Gary and Suzie Solomon and their services. They have provided a wonderful musical service and are always punctual and professional. Their communication flowed as did the creativity. Gary and Suzie work well with clients and staff, and even did several programs for our center. Their music lessons are inclusive and have boosted skill and most definitely self-esteem among our seniors. I highly recommend Gary and Suzie Solomon and their services.
